Dunk Road Trip Day 14-17: Heading Home

We headed out towards home with a sick Alex. He developed a fever and sore throat. Poor guy was sick through the rest of our trip time. We took him to urgent care in Omaha Nebraska. We were happy to get home after 17 days on the road!

Dunk Road Trip Day 13: Downtime

We spent our last day in ABQ relaxing and shopping at the famous Jackalope in Bernalillo. We'll be heading home with green chile that will last us for months. Yum!

Dunk Road Trip Day 12: On the Farm

We ate at Sadie's for lunch (yum!), and then headed down to Jen and Chris's farm for the day. The kids had a blast with the animals and Scotty and I made a chicken cage on wheels with his KNEX. Gracie really loved holding the chicks.

Dunk Road Trip Day 11: Playing at the Park

We had a great time playing at a local Albuquerque park with Jenny's unschooling friends. Later, we headed to Mark's house for a BBQ. Gracie and Eliza wore matching outfits, which of course, spawned a photo session!

Dunk Road Trip Day 10: To Albuquerque

It was a mostly driving day. We all wore our new Grand Canyon socks for the occasion. Gorgeous clouds. Tired kids. And finally, Noname's house!

Dunk Road Trip Day 9: Grand Canyon

We had beautiful weather for our day at the canyon. The hike on the rim was beautiful, and even tired grumpy children couldn't spoil the spectacular beauty. Gracie stopped about half way through our hike and announced that she would go no further. Alex fell off a small rock and hurt his foot. He limped his way through the better part of the hike. We ate lunch in the Arizona Room, an old restaurant in GC Village.
