Andre Tried Karate

Our little Andre tried out Karate a few weeks ago. He took one class with Gracie. They both looked so cute in their uniforms together. Although Andre is enthusiastic, he's not quite ready for weekly classes so his mom is waiting a bit. Here are the two little karate kids

The Old-Time Lamp

Gracie and I have been reading the Little House on the Prairie series. She's really enjoying them and is interested in all things "old-timey". Jen and Chris and the little ones sent her an oil lamp, complete with a wick and glass cover. She beamed when she saw it and we had to light it right away. Now when we read, she points out all of the pictures of kerosene lamps and says "just like mine"! Thanks ABQ cousins!

A Moo-Dock

Andre wanted to look like Uncle Daddy, so we gave him a mohawk. He says it's a Moodock. Check out the very cute pictures.

We're Back!

Happy 2009! My first new year's resolution was to update the blog, and that's exactly what I've done. There are 18 new posts ranging from August to today, so check them out! We've had a busy fall (part of the reason for the lack of updates) and have had lots of fun. It's all chronicled right here!

Happy New Year!

We celebrated the new year at our small house, with 11 guests on top of we 4. The grown ups drank martinis, which were so very good. The kids ran amok. Merry was made. Thank you 2008 and onward we go!

Gracie Is A Yellow Stripe!

Gracie earned her first belt in karate, yellow stripe. She was so proud and so was her mama papa and brother!
