Pinball Wizard

Ethan's birthday cake was a soccer, mohawk, British theme, so we decided to tie it all together and make an awesome pinball machine! This was one of the toughest technical cakes I've done. I didn't taste it myself, but apparently it was not quite as tasty as it was good looking. Oh well, apprearances matter more than substance, right?

Beautiful Day

Wow, it's really spring here in Minnesota. About time, I say. Not even two weeks ago, we had our last snow. Today it was 70 degrees and sunny. The trees are just starting to bud and bloom. We had a gaggle of children outside riding bikes this afternoon. Gracie is a speed demon on her bicycle. She goes up and down the sidewalk in front of our house, zooming past the other kids who are still on their trikes. I think she may be the Sporty Spice of the family. Happy Anniversary!

Today Rob and I celebrate our 10th anniversary. It's amazing how fast the time has gone. I can't imagine sharing my life with anyone else - and I don't think that there's another person who would put up with my every day crazies either. We're good together. So tonight we're going to dinner and a movie, our perfect date. Since I don't have any digital or scanned pictures from our wedding, here's something completely different - cake!
