Karate Tournament!

Alex and Gracie both participated in the annual National Karate team tournament today. Both kids did fantastic. Gracie got to go home with a trophy (it was her first tournament and she competed in a category where every kid gets a trophy), and Alex and his team mate were smashing with their bo form. They did not place for an award. We were thrilled to see Alex's best friend, Max, at the event. He just started karate this winter and was competing in his first tournament, just like Gracie!

Easter at Grandma's

Belt Test: Double Black Stripe

Alex had his toughest belt test yet today for double black stripe, the last step before he tests for black belt. He did a fantastic job and was determined and focused through the entire test. Here are the photos. Great job Alex!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Rob and I have just been surprised with a quick trip to the Hotel Minneapolis! We're spending the whole evening out with them and then overnighting at the hotel! What a wonderful and needed gift. Thanks so much little sis!
