Off to the Apple Orchard

It was the perfect day to head out to find our pumpkins for halloween and to pick some crisp Minnesota apples. Check out the photos!

Carving Pumpkins

After having fun at the orchard, we headed back to Lynn's house to carve our pumpkins. We roasted seeds and had a bonfire. We had a fantastic, ghoulish gallery of jack-o-lanterns by the end of the evening.

Andre is Three!

Happy third birthday Andre! He is a Thomas the Tank Engine loving boy. We love him very much.

First Day of Kindergarten

A very big 5 year old girl headed out for her first day of Kindergarten (the afternoon kind) today. She was so brave getting on the big bus, especially since she was the only passenger! At school, though, there were tears when mama left. She's going to be a great kindergartener!

Renaissance Festival

As part of Miky's 30th birthday celebration, we went out to the annual fall Renaissance Festival. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed the sights, the attractions, and especially the food! Andre and Gracie got their faces painted after initially feeling too shy to participate. Ethan and Scotty jousted on horses. Andre ate a huge drumstick. And I took photos!

Black Stripe Belt Test

Alex tested for his next belt, black stripe, in karate this morning. He's now only two more tests away from earning his black belt! It may take him, however, another year to achieve that goal. We're very proud!
